中国的版图上有56个少数民族，而每个民族的特色都是与众不同且别具特色。而给我留下最深刻印象的就是：维吾尔族。因为维吾尔族是中国北方的古老民族，并拥有悠久的历史文化。维吾尔族目前有800多万人口，在我国少数民族中仅次于壮族、满族、回族，已经接近，甚至超越了苗族，位居于少数民族人口总量的前五名。
维吾尔族拥有自己独特的文化艺术，例如家喻户晓的“新疆舞”，那婀娜的舞姿使人着迷，还有故事集《阿凡提的故事》、音乐舞蹈史诗《十二木卡姆》等，这些都是闻名中外的。还有维吾尔族位于我们“三山夹两盆”的新疆，新疆盛产葡萄，且新疆的葡萄汁多味甜，使葡萄成为维吾尔族最具代表性的水果。
维吾尔族的人很喜欢跳舞，所以他们的舞蹈也分好几种，最常见的就是：顶碗舞、大鼓舞、铁环舞、普塔舞，而伴舞的乐器，当然也不下数十种。
以上关于维吾尔族的介绍都是耳熟能详的，但可是有一样可能很少会提起，那就是维吾尔的民族医术是祖国医学的重要组成部分。原来维吾尔族的人不单只舞跳得精美绝伦，并且医术也是如此高明。
虽然维吾尔族的文化传统远远不止这些，但仅仅是这些也足以让人不禁感叹：中国56个民族，果真与众不同、别具特色啊!
