小海燕飞了一会儿，掉头向岸上飞去。
“孩子，你怎么不飞了?”妈妈迷惑不解地问。
“妈妈，你没看到雨停了吗?现在已经证明我能在多变的大海上自由飞翔了，何必还要再飞?”

Whereas the former is a sensible,, rational creature, her younger sister is wildly romantic--a characteristic that offers Austen plenty of scope for both satire and compassion. Commenting on Edward Ferrars, a potential suitor for Elinors hand, Marianne admits that while she \"loves him tenderly,\" she finds him disappointing as a possible lover for her sister.
