有一位小男生，出生满一个多月就被生母抛弃在新竹的火车站，幸好车站附近的警察找到一位会喂奶的妇人，为他喝奶，并把他送到了新竹县宝山乡的'德兰中心。
他从小就生活在孤儿院里，没有见过他的母亲，对他而言，修女们就像他的妈妈一样。他非常喜欢弹琴，几乎所有曲子都会弹，但他有个禁忌，就是除非有人逼他弹母亲节的歌，不然就绝对不弹。到他长大以后，有一天，修女拿了个信封给他，里面有两张车票，一张是从生母住的地方到新竹车站的，一张则是从屏东到新竹的慢车票，修女告诉他，这个小城的人极少，要找出亲人应该是件容易的事。
小城的人极少，没有太多人住在那里，于是他很快就找到生母以前工作的学校了。校长是位女士，说他的爸爸是一位很懒的人，不肯去城外找工作，喝醉了就开始打他的哥哥和妈妈，因此哥哥也离家出走，不愿再回来。所以他的生母为了不让他遭受同样的生活，只好把他遗弃，不过他的生母在每半年都会去北部看他，甚至还保留着当时来回的车票，从此以后，他的禁忌消失了，能一首首的弹出母亲节的歌，也不再害怕过母亲节。
读完这篇《车票》的文章后，我觉得虽然有些父母亲是因为年少不懂事而将孩子抛弃，但世界上不是每个母亲都这么狠心，毕竟是自己辛苦怀胎十个月才生下来的，这位母亲为了自己孩子的前途，不惜牺牲自己，也要让小孩有美好的未来，能有这种胸襟的人，真是难能可贵。

看完了这篇文章后，我觉得作者的母亲一定是不希望他受苦，才会把他遗弃在车站，同时，也是希望他能逃过暴力笼罩的家庭生活，才会忍痛遗弃他。但是，我觉得这么做好残忍，如果没有善心人收养他，或者发现他时，为时已晚，那么，今天就没有《车票》这篇流传各地的好文章了。
作者的成长背景虽然是在孤儿院，但是修女们的爱心和培植的苦心，是处处可见的，因此，他是在幸福、温馨的环境中长大的。如果，他在原先的家庭中生活，恐怕会吃不少苦头，而且在家暴中长大的孩子，心里大多会有偏差。从这个角度来看，我就觉得他的.母亲是一个有远见，也很有爱心的人，她想帮自己的孩子寻找一个较好的生活环境，这样做，似乎也没有错。
我很幸福，有爱我的爸爸、疼我的妈妈和一个每天陪我嬉戏、谈天的哥哥，我真的好幸福。而作者却只有孙修女这个唯一的亲人，我觉得世界上如果没有善心人士，就会少了一个像作者这样的人才。因此，我们要多做一些好事，多帮助一些贫苦的人，这样，不只对自己好，也对被帮助的人有益，希望大家能多做一些善事，也许就能造就一些对国家社会有贡献的英才。同时也希望社会上不要有暴力的家庭，不要有不负责任的父母，好让每个小孩都能在充满欢笑的环境中生活，并且健康、安全的长大，将来做个有用的人。
