Dear editors of English Weekly，
Now I want to tell you something about wild animals。There are a lot of wild animals living on the same earth with us。They are our friends and neighbors。However，some of them are dying out everyday because of the damages we humans have been doing to the environment。And the situation is still going worse and worse。For one thing，someone killed the tigers and sold their skins to make money。They must be punished。I think we should all be responsible for that and realize that it is our everyone's duty to protect the wild animals。They have their right to live just as our human beings。We should treat them with love and care，respect the law of nature and share the same land with them!Let try our best to make a happy home for human beings and animals。

As is often read in the newspaper reports， wild life especially the rare species is threatened with extinction。 Human beings are XXX attempts to hunt wild animals for a big profit。， which， of course， results in a sharp decrease in the number of animals。 So it is high time for us to take quick action to protect them。 First of all， it's quite necessary for every citizen to realize the importance of animal protection。 Only by knowing its importance can people develop a sense of responsibility。 People will surely take it for granted to have the duty to prevent any killing of wild animals。 So a national publicity campaign should be launched， thus giving animals a good living environment。 In addition， the government should pass some laws to forbid any hunting of rare animals。 We don't expect anything harmful to wild life to happen again。
If everyone is involved in the protection of wild life， we're sure man will be a good friend of animals rather than their enemy。

凡卡把信交给邮差后，熟睡了一夜。
第二天一早，老板将凡卡吵醒，凶狠狠地说：“凡卡，今天我要出去买东西，你在家里把地打扫干净，我回来要是发现一丁点灰尘，可饶不了你。”凡卡心想：哼！做就做，反正爷爷要来接我了，你这该死的恶狗早晚有一天是要遭到报应的。于是，凡卡很不情愿的说：“老板，您放心去吧，我会将家里打扫得很干净的。”老板听了，三分笑七分恨地说：“好，你就开始吧！”于是，凡卡拿起扫帚，仔仔细细地打扫起来。
中午，伙计来了，看见凡卡在扫地，就问：“小子！老板呢？”凡卡回答：“出去买东西了。” 伙计听了，凶恶地说：“你快去把老板的酒拿来给我喝，要是老板发现了，你就说是你自己做的，你如果说是我，我就打死你。”凡卡装做不在乎地说：“要打你就打吧，我真的不知道。”伙计听了，大发雷霆，一脚将凡卡踢倒在地，凡卡手里提着的垃圾也掉在了地上，凡卡边哭边喊：“伙计你打吧，等老板回来，我就把事实的真相给老板说，看老板怎么收拾你。”伙计见势不对，慌忙离开了，凡卡从地上爬起来，笑道：“哈哈，笨蛋！”下午老板回来了，看见地下一尘不染，心中有些高兴，对凡卡说：“干得不错，希望你每次都这样。”凡卡说：“我会的老板。”
日子就这样一天一天的过着，可是凡卡却依然没有等到爷爷来接他，凡卡有些失望了，三年后，乡下捎信来，说爷爷已经去世了，凡卡彻底绝望了，在经历剧烈的打击后，凡卡决定要先讨得老板的欢心，然后才能慢慢摆脱困境。
十五年后，凡卡成了鞋店的老板，他根据在悲惨的童年里积累的经验，他不像原来他的老板那样对待员工，而是关心和体贴员工。
后来，凡卡成了一个出色的商人。

之后的几天里，凡卡仍然重复着以前的生活，仍然被老板毒打，被老板娘骂，依然被店里的伙计捉弄，还有那个不听话的小崽子。吃的、喝的、穿的……仍旧一样，好在他们还没有变本加厉地折磨凡卡。
这天早晨，大雪停了，风也小了不少，太阳又灿烂起来。凡卡提着酒壶无精打采，全身无力地走在街上，现在离寄信的时候已经有一个多月的时间了，也不见爷爷的到来，凡卡多么希望和爷爷呆在乡下啊！他微微抬了一下头，望了望远方——他神情凝重，彻底绝望了……
这时，一只像“泥鳅”一样——身子是黑的，像黄鼠狼那样长长的狗，它正围着一位正在买鱼竿的老人打，立即引起了凡卡的注意——
“这是泥鳅？”凡卡又看了看老人：“这不是爷爷吗！”
凡卡立刻扔下酒壶，冲了过去，紧紧抓住老人的衣袖，泪水在眼睛里着圈，盯着老人的脸：“爷爷！爷爷！真的是您啊！”
凡卡认出了爷爷，扑到爷爷身上委屈地嚎啕大哭，爷爷愣住了：
“唉吆，这不是我的小凡卡吗！这是怎么了？”
他看到孩子这样衣衫褴褛，脸上布满伤痕，心疼极了，眼泪立刻闪烁在眼眶里。
——爷爷之前并没有收到凡卡的信，不知道孙子受了这般折磨——爷爷搂住凡卡，轻声安慰着他：“咱们回家，咳——咳，爷爷带你回家，带你回家……”他们没有跟任何人告别，在回家的路上只有凡卡、爷爷、泥鳅三者的身影……
凡卡得到了属于他的生活和幸福，从此再也没有到过鞋匠阿里亚希涅那儿！

Today is father s day， for so many years I ve been seekig a way to express my heartfelt thanks for all you have done for me. Here comes it!
Thank you for always being there sharing my life when I need you most. Whenever I encounter difficulties， I never feel alone and vulnerable， because you will keep me on the right path. I m blessed to have you.
Thank you for offering me education and teaching me how to be a man. You always inspire me not by words， but by what you have done! Your efforts in the work， your loyalty to your friends， your responsibility for the family and your persistence in the life have already set me good examples in my own life.
Thank you for always appreciating my work， no matter how tiny it is! You have made me realize that it s capacity not scores that really counts.
