小朋友们，你们一定很喜欢看书吧？可是你们知道书是怎样印刷出来的吗？以前，我很喜欢看《蓝猫淘气三千问》这本书，其中一本介绍的是中国古代的四大发明，里面就有活字印刷术。原来，很早以前，古代的人印书是把字都可刻在一块木板上。后来，有个叫毕升的人，靠雕刻印刷度日，看到自己雕刻的'木板，印完书后便被丢掉，非常心疼。他想：要是这些字能一个个拆下来就好了。于是，他挖来胶泥，用水调匀夯实，再把胶泥反复揉合，做成一个个长方块，在每块上面刻一个阳文反手字。刻好后，把这些泥字放进窑里，用火烧硬，泥活字就做好了。然后是制版，在一块铁板上铺一层松香和蜡之类的东西，四周围上铁框。在铁框内按照文章的字句、段落排列活字，排满一铁框后，就将铁板放到火上去烤。烘烤时，用一块平板在排好的活字版上加压，把字面压平整。冷却后，一块活字印版就制好了，就可以印刷了。这就是古代的活字印刷术
前几天，我们参观了郑州的一家现代化的印刷厂。现在科技很发达，也很方便，人们已经不用一个字一个字地排版了，而是直接用电脑排版了。排好版，把胶片放在自动显影机上，这样上面就有字了，可这些还都是黑色的，也是透明的。然后工作人员把这些胶片送到彩印车间，那里有四开四色印刷机，对开四色印刷机和对开八色印刷机。有的人要问，这下该好了吧？其实还没完，下面还有胶轮车间，也就是印刷车间。那里的纸都是一大卷一大卷的，纸从入口进去后往上走，然后从出口出去，这样字就印上去了。你可别小看这一大卷纸，它伸展开以后可达一万米呢！然后就是装订车间，在这里把印刷好的纸订在一起，然后用程控裁割机把它们裁齐。这样一本本书就做好了。
