during these days in your class, i have learned much from you and it is very helpful to me. firstly, you let me know what is the west thinking pattern—straight thinking pattern. and, i think, it is very important to understand the west’s thoughts. as you know, this can help me with my examination and interaction with foreigners. secondly, i have got enough confidence in speaking in english from your class and it took me a long time to gain this confidence. now, i always express my ideas in english as possible as i can. it’s great to do that. the last not the least, i find that learning english is not an boring thing as before and i’m interested in studying english which was just a necessary task to pass examinations. reading, listening or speaking all become interesting and i really enjoy it.

俗话说，滴水之恩定将涌泉相报。父母给了我们生命养育了我们，这份恩情怎么能回报呢？
我的妈妈是一个普通的家庭妇女。妈妈画画得很好，真可谓丹青妙笔。我想在她小的时候一定有着当一名画家的美好心愿……但自从有了我和弟弟，妈妈放弃了一切爱好，为了一心照顾好我们。妈妈在闲暇之余，也会抽空画一些山水之类的画。她还常抱着弟弟向外张望，妈妈就像一只被锁在笼中的小鸟多么想自由地飞翔啊！看看别人的妈妈三五成群地去逛商场、去游乐园……再看看我的妈妈，我心里有说不出的滋味。
去年寒冬，妈妈特意到商店去买新的布料和棉花。一回家妈妈就兴冲冲地抖开布让我看，那是一块素雅的花布，深蓝色的底子上绽开着朵朵清芬的花，在这清冷的冬日分外显眼。我斜着眼睛瞧了一下，对妈妈不满地说：“这都啥年代了，人家都穿着进口羽绒服，你还给我做这蓝底杂花的棉袄，多么老土呀！”母亲迟疑了一下，眼睛里流露出一种失望，但马上就烟消云散了，她笑着对我说：“羽绒服不御寒，虽然棉衣老土些，但穿在身上既暖和又舒服。”妈妈见我并不理会，尴尬地站了半晌，就回屋了。
夜已深了，我和弟弟、爸爸都进入了梦乡。半夜我醒来上厕所时，无意中看到母亲的卧室有亮光，还不时发出“哧——哧——”的声音，我就很好奇地扒在门上从门缝眯着眼睛看。原来母亲借着台灯的微光在缝棉袄，她那双粗糙的手一针一线认真地缝。我的眼泪禁不住夺眶而出，我突然想起了孟郊《游子吟》中的诗句：
慈母手中线，游子身上衣。临行密密缝，意恐迟迟归。谁言寸草心，报得三春晖。“啊”，妈妈的手一抖，不小心手被针扎了。我再也忍不住了，快步走进卧室焦急地问：“妈，怎么样？”只见妈妈的手上有一个深深的针眼，从针眼渗出一颗黄豆般大小的殷红的血珠儿，我的心疼极了，一下子扑了上去。
妈妈见突然闯进来的我，先是吃了一惊，然后抚摸着我的头亲切地说：“不要紧，孩子。你赶紧休息，明天还要上学呢。”
我一把拽走棉袄：“妈，你也睡！”
“不，今天把棉衣做好，明天就不怕冷了。”母亲坚持说。
冬天的.夜很冷啊，我睡在热乎乎的被窝里心里很不是滋味。第二天，我一觉醒来看见一件簇新的棉袄放在床头，再望望妈妈那憔悴的面容，我难过极了。穿上妈妈为我缝的新棉衣，走在寒冷的街头，我感到今年的冬天温暖如春。
妈妈就是这样一个人，关心着我生活中的一点一滴，“谁言寸草心，报得三春晖。”我一定要尽量做到，让母亲因有我而感到自豪。

母亲对于子女的爱永远是无微不至的，每个人都能体会到。在我生病时，妈妈会守护在我身边，看着我，喂我吃药;在我遇到困难十分无助的时候，妈妈会给我鼓励;在我犯错的时候，妈妈会耐心教我;在我……总之妈妈为我付出的有很多很多，其中有一件事特别让我记忆犹新。
在初一下学期的期末考中，我的成绩十分不理想，可以说是一落千丈。面对这残酷的成绩，我十分痛心，也很讨厌这样的分数，便开始堕落在自责中。每天没有笑容，一次又一次的反省、检讨自己的失分处。考成这样，也就无法面对父母了。虽然他们对我这次的考试很失望，但看到我那么的灰心丧气和伤心，也难免会担心。在我独自一人在房里偷偷哭泣时，我隐约看到妈妈通过门缝在看我。虽然门缝是那样地细，但我觉得妈妈心里一定是很焦急，想必脸上也多了几分忧愁。看到我如此伤心，最后，妈妈实在忍不住了，轻轻地打开门，走近我身旁，轻柔地抚摸着我的头，亲切说道：“孩子，不要紧，失败乃是成功之母。倘若你遇到这点小小的挫折就好像天塌下来一样，那还有什么希望可言呢?所以，你现在需要的是好好分析得与失，继续加把劲，那才能有进步。”我听了妈妈这番话，有股暖流流入心房，也就舒展起愁颜，绽开笑脸。妈妈放下心来，点点头，帮我拭去脸上的泪痕……
爱是飘飘洒洒的春雨，爱是写在脸上的笑影，爱是义无反顾的响应，爱是一丝不苟的配合，爱是人与人之间的关怀……世界因有了爱而更加美好，我们何尝能不去珍惜它呢?
