为什么说是梭罗的'？因为瓦尔登湖的景色并不起眼，在别人眼里可能只是一个带有杂树的野湖，但梭罗却把它写成了一个美丽的风光。
梭罗在瓦尔登湖畔隐居了两年两个月，他像一个原始人过着简单的生活。他自己造居住的小屋，自己摘野果、钓鱼，接泉水填饱肚子，所有事都自己做。在那里他把湖边的小动物当成邻居。
本书代序中说：“梭罗的手不仅拿笔，也拿斧子；梭罗的眼睛不仅看书，也看绿树、青草、落日和闪动着波光的湖水。”没错，在他隐居的这些年，他最好的伙伴就是瓦尔登湖。
瓦尔登湖在清朗的夏天是蔚蓝色，在白雪皑皑的冬天是草绿色。梭罗这样描述“一会儿蓝，一会儿绿，位于天地之间，自然兼具天地之色”
梭罗觉得，如果你喜欢某处地方，你就应该去那兜圈子，应该将它牢牢地记住。
梭罗喜欢瓦尔登湖，并将它牢牢地记住了，因此瓦尔登湖变成了梭罗的湖。

??小草的对话作文月考过后，受不了低分的刺激；可能是受分数的影响、同学的讥讽，我曾几时想放弃班长的位置。正烦心着呢！去外走了圈。
骑车时无意将唾沫吐向了草地，从耳边传来“哎呦”一声，我诧异了。停下了车，目光在草地上扫视。
我有意识的蹲了下来：“谁啊！叫什么啊？！”
只听见“同学，你刚把口水吐倒了我身上，作为一名学生，你怎么能这样呢？就算我是不起眼的小草，也不能这样吧？”
小草会说话？我一下来了兴致，刚刚内心的不悦早被抛在脑后：“哦，对不起哦。但是由于我月考的失利，导致我心情很差。希望你能谅解！”
“一时的失利相信不会影响你。人生本来就有起有落。你都忍受自己的'起，为何要伏拜于落而一蹶不振呢？我知道你的心情之低落，但你得从低落的阴影走出！”
“嗯，你们这一片草地长势均匀，令人爱看啊！”
“是啊，做为集体中的一份子，再小也有责任贡献集体！在生命的旅途中，你的责任就是顽强地拼搏下去！遇到了任何困难，也不要向命运低头！”
这时，我的心里砰然一震，我顿时明白了生命的意义是顽强地生活下去、不屈向上。简单地说，就是——顽强！
我知道有一些人，他知道自己要走的路一直都在，便在崇高的信仰下努力走下了路的尽头，并且用自己渺小的身躯创造出了伟大！

铅笔听了，得意忘形地说：“没有你的帮助，我也能把画画得很好。”橡皮擦生气地说：“那好吧，任何事情你自己做，犯了错，我不会帮你解决的。”“哼，走着瞧。”铅笔大摇大摆地回家了。
有一次，学校举行画画比赛。主人就拿起铅笔，这时铅笔向橡皮擦瞟了一眼，嘲笑它说：“哈哈，你没派上用场，真没用。”橡皮擦听了，难过极了，伤心地藏起来了。画着画着，主人画错了，怎么也找不到橡皮擦，结果，主人的画没有得奖。
回到家，主人把铅笔臭骂了一顿。铅笔这才知道自己错了，后悔极了。它满脸惭愧来到橡皮擦的面前说：“对不起，我嘲笑了你，请你原谅我的无礼，我们还是一起合作帮助主人画画吧！”橡皮擦笑容满面地说：“知错就改，还是好朋友。”
它们又成了好朋友，相互照顾，相互帮助。
主人高兴地笑了。
